I love George Gershwin and while he’s not my favourite pianist of all time (sup Brubeck), his style of playing is so appealing to me. This clip is just so rock’n’roll; it kind of reminds me of the way my grandma used to play (though she was nowhere near as aggressive).
Gershwin’s solo piano rendition of Rhapsody In Blue is in my top ten songs of all time. I can’t find it online though, might have to rip it when I get home. For now, enjoy this very short clip of the master blazing through I Got Rhythm.
